These unique, natural Floral Gourd Birdhouses are the perfect houses for our nesting feathered friends! Traditional and modern techniques have been combined in making these birdhouses: pyrography, painting, and carving.
Each birdhouse starts with a natural gourd that was hand-picked, dried, painted, carved, and varnished to resist weather conditions. After a few seasons for our feathered friends, the birdhouse will decompose naturally and return to Mother Earth.
Gourd art dates back over 3,000 years and is a craft carried down from generation to generation.
